Galeria Boralevi in Florence, Italy, commissioned a series of small carpets of modern design but fabricated in the Caucasus using traditional materials and ancient techniques. Using these techniques – hand-knotting, sumac, bouclé, slit, dovetailing – different patterns and depths of pile were achieved to articulate the designs.
